Job Title: Dietary Aide and Cook with Weekly Pay
Job Description
As a Dietary Aide, your primary role is to prepare food according to residents' dietary needs and community procedures, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations. Under the supervision of the Food Service Director, you will also perform other duties as directed by community representatives. You are expected to adhere to all health, sanitary, and infection control policies while maintaining the established standards of practice set by the community's administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.
Responsibilities
Organize and adjust tables in dining areas with a focus on cleanliness and usability.Assist team members in preparing and cooking meals for the facility.Deliver meals and food trays to patients at scheduled times.Discard trash and remove waste after dining hall sessions.Maintain clean and orderly food stations for buffets and special events.Monitor pantry stock and notify management when supplies need reordering.Assist the kitchen manager in creating menus that meet budget and patient requirements.Essential Skills
Experience in food service, food preparation, and food safety.Ability to work in a medical environment or customer service setting.Skilled in preparing food for large groups as instructed by kitchen management.Basic understanding of kitchen cookware and appliances.Excellent teamwork and communication skills.Ability to work on feet and in a standing position for extended periods.Flexibility to work holidays and weekends as needed.Ability to lift and transport heavy trays and carts.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Professional certification in food sanitation may be required depending on the state.Customer service-oriented with experience in hospitality.Knowledge of tray line and dishwashing processes.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work takes place in an Assisted Living Facility, where you will engage in food preparation and service in a community-focused environment. You may be required to adhere to a specific dress code suitable for kitchen and dining duties.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greensburg, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
