Description
\n\t\t\t\t\tThe primary purpose of your job is to prepare food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, community procedures, and food safety and sanitation regulations, under the supervision of the Food Service Director. Performs other duties as directed by representatives of the community. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community’s administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.

\n\t\t\t\t\tOrganize and adjust tables for dining areas, paying special attention to cleanliness and ease of use\nAssist team members with preparing and cooking meals for the facility\nDeliver meals and food trays to patients at predetermined times\nDiscard trash and remove waste after scheduled dining hall times\nMaintain clean and orderly food stations for buffets and special events\nMonitor pantry stock and inform management of items running low and in need or re-ordering\nAssist kitchen manager in creating menus within the budget and requirements of patients\nDepending on the state of employment, professional certification in food sanitation may be required\nExperience working in a medical environment or in customer service is preferred\nSkilled in preparing food for a large group of people as instructed by kitchen management\nBasic understanding of kitchen cookware and appliances\nExcellent teamwork and communication skills are needed to successfully prepare large-scale catering orders\nAbility to work on your feet and in the standing position for an extended period\nFlexibility in terms of availability, able to work holidays and weekend generally preferred\nAbility to lift and transport heavy trays and carts as needed

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
