Job Title: Diesel Truck Mechanic

Shift: 1st shift, 7a-3:30pm, Monday - Friday

Pay: $32-$40/hr based on experience and interview

Job Description

As a Diesel Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles in a safe and efficient manner. You will utilize shop software to manage parts and notes on work orders. We are seeking a team player who is eager to assist others and open to receiving help when needed. Our fleet shop handles a wide range of tasks from bumper to bumper, ensuring a dynamic and engaging work environment. We use J-pro diagnostics along with OEM software.

ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair Class 8 tractors with 6-cylinder diesel engines and auto/manual transmissions.Conduct electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.Perform PM services and annual inspections.Manage air diagnostics and aftertreatment and emissions systems.Utilize OEM software such as Cummins, Detroit, and Volvo for diagnostics and repairs.Work on air brakes and air systems, steering, and suspension.Document work using shop software.Essential SkillsProficiency with diesel engines and mechanical repairs.Experience with Class 8 tractors and 6-cylinder diesel engines.Skills in electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of air diagnostics and aftertreatment and emissions systems.Familiarity with OEM software such as Cummins, Detroit, and Volvo.Experience with air brakes and air systems, steering, and suspension.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a hot truck shop environment where steel-toed shoes are mandatory. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr.
