Job Title: Diesel Technician

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on yard trucks.Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including wiring and battery systems.Conduct computer and emission system repairs.Execute welding and fabrication tasks as needed.Repair and maintain air brake systems.Maintain accurate service records and documentation.Follow safety protocols and use appropriate PPE.Complete other duties as assigned by the Service Manager.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 2 years of experience in diesel mechanics or a related field.Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.Basic computer skills for diagnostics and record-keeping.Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.DOT/Medical card certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Welding experience and familiarity with DPF/DEF systems.Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks such as stooping, climbing, and kneeling.Ownership of a complete set of quality hand tools (preferred).Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of North Charleston, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43860.00 - $72800.00/yr.
