**Job Title: Diesel Mechanic in Boston, MA paying up to $37 per hour**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, adjust, and repair equipment and vehicles. This role involves maintaining electrical, brake, hydraulic, cooling, and power steering systems, as well as engines and other standard electrical components. The ideal candidate will perform preventative and corrective maintenance independently, ensuring compliance with manufacturer and customer requirements.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform preventative and corrective maintenance and inspections independently.
+ Ensure the workplace follows 5S principles by maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient environment.
+ Carry out maintenance servicing on Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and/or Commercial Trucks following OEM specifications.
+ Ensure safe and secure transport of GSE and/or Commercial Trucks.
+ Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including basic electrical repairs, on various GSE and/or Commercial Trucks.
+ Utilize GSE and Commercial Truck manuals to obtain necessary repair information.
+ Conduct thorough inspections to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
+ Report and discuss with the supervisor any damage or work outside the prescribed scope.
+ Perform refurbishing tasks, including fabrication, bodywork, painting, welding, and upholstery.
+ Prioritize tasks effectively to maintain productivity and meet customer requirements.
+ Perform on-call responsibilities as required, ensuring timely responses to urgent operational needs.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with preventive maintenance, hydraulics, and diesel engines.
+ Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing GSE and ground support equipment.
+ Strong electrical experience and diagnostic skills.
+ Ability to work independently and follow OEM specifications.
+ Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Valid Driver’s License required; CDL preferred but not required.
+ Must provide personal hand tools; specialized tools and diagnostic equipment supplied.
+ Proficiency in using mobile devices and relevant applications.
+ A solid understanding of essential safety, quality, and operational protocols.

**Work Environment**
Work involves receiving tasks via tablets and performing assigned duties, including maintenance and repairs on diesel and a few gas engine trucks. The role offers 1st and 2nd shift hours in a dynamic and supportive environment.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Boston, MA.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $79040.00/yr.
They offer three different medical plans with UHC (1 HSA plan and two traditional plans), there is cost sharing as well, for Employee Only TCR covers 80% of the monthly premium, for EE+ 1 or EE + Family TCR covers 65%.
