Diesel Mechanic
**Job Title: Diesel Mechanic** **Job Description** As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on a fleet of excavating and lawn care equipment. This role involves working with a variety of machinery including Caterpillar models, Volvo Haul Trucks, Wolfpac Rollers, dump trucks, backhoes, and work trucks. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventative maintenance on a fleet of equipment. + Repair and troubleshoot diesel engines and heavy equipment. + Conduct mechanical maintenance, including work on hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, transmissions, and engines. + Utilize welding skills for equipment repairs. + Maintain and manage fleet maintenance schedules. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic. + Proficient in diesel engine maintenance and repair. + Ability to perform mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting. + Experience with fleet maintenance and repair. + Valid driver's license. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly. + Proficiency in troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance. **Why Work Here?** Join a growing, local, family-owned business that started as an excavating company and has expanded into concrete and landscaping.
