**Job Title: Diesel Mechanic** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The role involves working Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. The position offers a competitive pay scale based on experience, ranging from $26 to $36 per hour. Candidates will work under the guidance of a Master Mechanic and an Assistant within the Maintenance department. **Responsibilities** + Perform full service repairs on diesel engines and tractor trailers independently. + Collaborate with a team on the maintenance and repair of a fleet of diesel vehicles or material handling equipment. + Diagnose and troubleshoot various engine problems. + Conduct preventive maintenance on diesel engines. + Disassemble and reassemble engine components. **Essential Skills** + 10+ years of experience for high-level service repairs. + 5+ years of experience working on a fleet of diesel technicians or material handling equipment. + 2-3+ years of experience with pickup diesel trucks or similar engines. + Proficiency in diesel mechanics, troubleshooting, repair, hydraulics, and electrical systems. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Tech school training in Diesel Mechanic or Engine Repair is advantageous. + Skills in welding and fabricating are a plus. **Why Work Here?** Join a growing company that offers significant opportunities for career advancement within the company and the Maintenance department. **Work Environment** The work environment may involve working in a manufacturing facility or storage yard. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Southbridge, MA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $36.00/hr.
