Job Description
Join our family-owned, independent Auto and Truck repair shop as an experienced Diesel Mechanic. You will work independently, primarily on commission, meaning the more repairs you complete efficiently, the higher your earnings. As our shop continues to grow, there are exciting opportunities for advancement.
Responsibilities
Conduct electronic diagnostics, inspecting and testing vehicles.Perform preventive maintenance on medium and heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment, including engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotations, wheel balancing, and replacing filters.Repair brakes and suspensions.Troubleshoot and carry out major repairs, such as repairing engine failures, mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, replacing parts, and repairing minor body damage.Maintain vehicle records by recording services and repairs.Manage costs by utilizing warranties and evaluating service and parts options.Essential Skills
Proficiency in repair and maintenance of diesel engines.Experience with diesel diagnostics and electrical systems.Strong skills in repairing brakes, suspensions, and hydraulics.Mechanically inclined with a focus on electrical diagnostics.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must have a valid driver's license.Diesel service repair experience.6+ months of customer service experience.Eligibility for a CDL is preferred but not required.Experience with large diesel trucks or heavy equipment is advantageous.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
