Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a Junior Technician for our second-shift operation in New York. You will support diagnostics and repairs on transit buses, assist high level technicians, and help meet daily maintenance goals. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, work hard, and grow into a more advanced role over time.

Responsibilities

Assist in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on transit buses.Support high level technicians and follow their direction.Document work performed and parts used.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Commit to developing your technical skills through training and hands-on learning.

Essential Skills

Experience with diesel engines, HVAC systems, and trucks.Previous work with transit buses.Entry-level ASE certifications or enrollment in a relevant program.Experience in a public transit or fleet maintenance setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Own tools required for the job.Ability to work the 2pm-10:30pm shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
