**Job Title: Diesel Mechanic - 1st Shift** Job Description Join a dynamic team that provides full service leasing, contract maintenance, and daily commercial rentals. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will perform major engine overhauls and work directly with a Journeyman Technician. You will handle a variety of vehicles, including tractors, day cabs, utility vehicles, fleet vehicles & trailers, step vans, and construction vehicles. Responsibilities + Perform major engine overhauls. + Work directly with a Journeyman Technician. + Conduct minor repairs including clutch, transmission, and engine repairs. + Perform engine tune-ups. + Conduct electrical and electronic inspection testing. + Execute trailer repairs. Essential Skills + Minimum of 2 years of mechanic work on diesel engines. + Proficiency in diesel repair, brake systems, transmission, and engine repair. + Skilled in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. + Experience with preventive maintenance. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Mechanical aptitude verified through professional and personal experience. + Experience repairing brakes, engines, transmissions, and electric & electronic components. + Previous work on fleet vehicles such as semis, construction vehicles, and diesel trucks is a plus. + Ownership of personal tools. + Diesel tech Diploma/Certification from a Technical College.
