Job Title: Diesel Mechanic
Job Description

As a Diesel Mechanic, you will work in the shop on tanker trucks, performing routine preventative maintenance, including inspections, diagnostics, and repairs. You will have the opportunity to utilize your skills in maintaining large commercial vehicles and diesel engines.

ResponsibilitiesPerform routine preventative maintenance on tanker trucks.Conduct inspections and run diagnostics on vehicles.Repair or replace faulty equipment as needed.Complete work orders efficiently and accurately.Utilize computer diagnostic software for troubleshooting.Prepare inspection reports detailing findings and actions taken.Essential Skills2+ years of maintenance experience.4 years of experience working on fleet vehicles.Proficiency in mechanic work related to trailers, tanks, hoses, and conveyors.Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic testing abilities.Experience with diesel engines and computer diagnostic software.Additional Skills & QualificationsWelding and fabrication experience.Experience working on large commercial vehicles is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a shop setting with approximately 15 employees focused on tankers and part configuration. The company operates nationwide with about 350 employees. The role requires flexibility in shift scheduling, typically Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with potential Saturday work as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stockton, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
