**Job Title: Diesel Mechanic**
**Job Description**
Seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to lead a team and oversee maintenance and repairs around the shop. This role requires strong mechanical expertise and leadership skills. Someone with multiple years working on diesel vehicles and/or cars is the ideal candidate. Starting pay will be between $25 - $32 depending on industry experience.
**Responsibilities**
+ Lead and manage a team of mechanics in the workshop.
+ Oversee maintenance and repairs of heavy equipment.
+ Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics on mechanical issues.
+ Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
+ Utilize expertise in hydraulics and diesel engines for effective repairs.
+ Maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
**Essential Skills**
+ Expertise in heavy equipment mechanics.
+ Strong mechanical skills with a focus on diesel engines.
+ Ability to perform repairs and troubleshooting.
+ Knowledge of hydraulics and preventive maintenance.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience working with heavy equipment is preferred.
+ General engine knowledge is beneficial.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gorham, Maine.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
