Job Description

We are seeking a Junior Technician for our second-shift operation in New York. You will support diagnostics and repairs on transit buses, assist technicians, and help meet daily maintenance goals. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, work hard, and grow into a more advanced role over time. The shift is from 2pm to 10:30pm, and you must have your own tools.

ResponsibilitiesAssist in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on transit buses.Support technicians and follow their direction.Document work performed and parts used.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Commit to developing your technical skills through training and hands-on learning.Essential SkillsExperience in diesel, HVAC, and truck maintenance.Previous work with transit buses.Entry-level ASE certifications or enrollment in a relevant program.Experience in a public transit or fleet maintenance setting.Additional Skills & QualificationsEagerness to learn and develop skills.Ability to work collaboratively with a team.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This is a hands-on, in-person work environment requiring direct interaction with transit buses. The role involves working in a practical setting with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of New York, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
