Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic with 2-3 years of experience to join our team. You will be responsible for performing major repairs, preventative maintenance, and ensuring the operational efficiency of our transportation fleet. This role requires expertise in engine, transmission, and brake repairs, as well as proficiency in refrigeration equipment maintenance and minor tune-ups.
ResponsibilitiesPerform major repairs including engine, transmission, accident damage, preventative maintenance, and brake work.Change oils and lights, and conduct rear-end repairs within the transportation truck shop.Perform truck mechanic B requirements in addition to major preventive maintenance and major component rebuilds.Read and interpret all shop material for maintenance and repair tasks.Repair and maintain refrigeration equipment as needed.Address major structural damage to trailers and internal engine components.Perform welding functions as required.Conduct all basic service line functions of a truck mechanic C, including checking air pressure and changing lights.Perform minor tune-ups and solve electrical, brake, and compressor problems.Conduct preventative maintenance on refrigeration systems and external engines.Collaborate effectively with team members and work well in a team environment.

Work Environment
This role operates within a casual environment that can change quickly based on external factors such as weather and accidents. While the shop is indoors, you will still be exposed to the elements as the garage doors are typically open for incoming and outgoing trucks. You will work with a team of about 5-6 other diesel technicians and must be comfortable going on the road for maintenance and pickups.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of GREENCASTLE, Pennsylvania.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $33.00/hr.
