Die Shop Technician
**Job Title: Die Shop Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Technician with experience in TIG or MIG welding. The role involves studying blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan sequences of operations for dies or assemblies. You'll verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators. **Responsibilities** + Visualize and compute dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of assemblies based on specifications. + Ensure that all machines and measurement equipment are calibrated regularly and in compliance. + Conduct test runs with completed dies to ensure parts meet specifications, making adjustments as necessary. + React quickly to equipment downtime or other extraordinary conditions and notify supervision whenever such conditions occur. + Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations. + Notify team lead associate of machine malfunction. + Follow all standard operating procedures relevant to the job, position, and department. + Maintain a clean work environment through regular cleaning and upkeep. + Adhere to established company and department policies, procedures, work instructions, and safety and environmental guidelines. + Perform all other job duties as assigned. + Engage and retain high-performance standards, elevating the level of responsibility and performance. **Essential Skills** + Experience in TIG or MIG welding. + Proficiency in assembly, mechanical work, hand tools, troubleshooting, blueprint reading, power tools, repair, sheet metal, welding inspection, installation, mechanical assembly, electrical work, and mechanical inclination. + Basic skills to setup, load, and unload material from manual and automated equipment. + Basic computer skills, data entry skills, and the ability to operate and load simple computer programs. + Ability to operate with speed and accuracy while maintaining a team player attitude. + Strong communication, interpersonal, business, technical, analytical, and planning skills. + Capability to expedite solutions when situations arise. + Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within production, auto body, hand and power tools, installation, and mechanical aptitude. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Strong self-starter who can work with little or no supervision. + Demonstrate the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. + Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. **Why Work Here** Join an organization that offers excellent benefits including 401k with company matching, health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and performance bonuses.
