We are currently seeking an experienced Die Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in working with transfer and/or progressive stamping dies, and will be responsible for setting and prestaging dies throughout the facility. This role involves working with dies ranging from 1000 to 2500 tonnages.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with press technicians to change out dies and set up feeder systems and coils.Ensure dies are set correctly and troubleshoot any machine or die issues.Work alongside Tool & Die Makers when issues arise.Operate cranes and hi-lo equipment, with training and certification provided.Perform preventative maintenance, including changing filters and oils.Essential Skills3+ years of die setting experience on progressive and/or transfer presses, including setting up machines with feeder systems and coil loading/unloading (1000 to 2500 tonnage).Ability to troubleshoot dies and communicate effectively with Tool & Die Makers.Certification in crane and hi-lo operations.Basic math skills for solving problems.Additional Skills & QualificationsUnderstanding of stroke speed and function of transfer gripper arms.Ability to assist with scrap control and identify defects in parts.Why Work Here?Join a union facility that offers yearly increases, 14 paid holidays, long-term and short-term disability benefits, PTO of 70 hours, life insurance, and a 401k match program. Work EnvironmentThe facility is an older stamping and robotic weld center with 42 presses and robots. Safety is a priority, requiring steel toes, safety glasses, and sleeves. The facility runs two shifts, with the first shift operating from 6 AM to 2 PM, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays based on production needs. There is one opening for the first shift.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.25 - $22.25/hr.
