Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Die Setter to join our team. As a Die Setter, you will collaborate closely with the Die Repair team and Operators on the 3rd shift. This role requires dedication and a strong understanding of die setting processes, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality production.
ResponsibilitiesSet up stamping dies and change tools efficiently.Properly set up dies and equipment, understanding and troubleshooting shut heights.Set up the next die and press, ensuring correct placement per setup instructions.Clean press bolster, ram, and die parallels before and after setting dies.Set up proper conveyors for each press operation.Unbolt dies after production, remove scrap, and place them in designated locations.Unhook and store transfer system items as needed.Operate overhead crane competently.Essential SkillsForklift Certification.Progressive and transfer press knowledge.4+ years of experience as a metal stamping die setter on progressive dies.Past Forklift and Crane Certification.Ability to set up and adjust dies, jigs, fixtures, and cutting tools of progressive dies.Understanding and troubleshooting shunt heights.Strong safety knowledge when setting dies and operating forklift/crane.Additional Skills & QualificationsSchuler Press experience.Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.Quality inspection/assurance using mics, calipers, and gages.Ability to process and identify defective items/parts.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment includes a newly acquired facility that is being revitalized with modern fixtures. The company operates both a stamping side and a robotic weld side. Work hours for the 3rd shift are from 11pm to 7am, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays. The team is focused on continuous improvement and expansion, offering employees a chance to grow with the company.

This is a Permanent position based out of Warren, Michigan.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $54080.00/yr.
Working thru new benefits package and working with the US to match the market
Starting from the ground up; would help get to make the plant what it is.
They just launched their 2nd shift; would eventually launch 3rd shift by Q4 / Q1 2025
