**Job Title: Die Maintenance Technician** **Job Description**
The role of Die Maintenance Technician involves repairing dies using various equipment, including manual mills (Bridgeports), manual lathes, Haas CNC, wire EDM machines, Blanchard grinders, saws, and welders. The technician will utilize MIG and TIG welding techniques to troubleshoot and repair dies, which are up to 500 ton, within a stamping environment. Additionally, the technician will be responsible for building tools according to work instructions and prints, performing tool and die repairs on progressive and transfer dies, and troubleshooting dies both from machines and on the bench.
**Responsibilities**
+ Repair dies using manual mills, manual lathes, Haas CNC, wire EDM machine, Blanchard grinders, saws, and welders.
+ Utilize MIG and TIG welding techniques.
+ Troubleshoot and repair dies up to 500 ton in a stamping environment.
+ Build tools as per work instructions and prints.
+ Perform tool and die repairs on progressive and transfer dies.
+ Troubleshoot dies from machines and on the bench.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 3 years of tool and die or die maintenance experience.
+ Experience operating machines, either manual or CNC.
+ Ability to read blueprints.
+ Basic welding skills, including MIG, TIG, or stick welding.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Journeyman card is a plus.
+ Must have own hand tools.

**Work Environment**
The work environment includes open shifts on the 2nd shift from 2:50 pm to 11:10 pm and the 3rd shift from 10:50 pm to 7:10 am. Training will occur during the day for a couple of months. Saturday work is rotated every six weeks, with no Sunday shifts, and there is the option to work the 1st shift on Saturdays. Employees can choose to pick up voluntary overtime if desired. The facility is big on safety, and there are opportunities for promotion to maintenance or entry-level engineering positions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bluffton, OH.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $37.00/hr.
