**Job Title: Die Cutting Operator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced Die Cutting Operator skilled in the duties of a qualified Sheet Fed Cutting Operator. The ideal candidate will have experience with make readies, operation, and troubleshooting on cutting machinery similar to Sheet fed cutting equipment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate and troubleshoot cutting machinery such as the 162 CER, 1600 ER, 103, and 126.
+ Verify jobs against approved sizes and styles supplied by the customer and management.
+ Ensure tooling for the next job is in the staging area.
+ Perform proper press maintenance and lubrication.
+ Coordinate with Cutting Operators to ensure all presses are adequately staffed according to production needs.
+ Check pallets out of press and pull samples from each position.
+ Assist Cutting Operators in make ready and preventive maintenance activities.
+ Maintain daily time and materials usage reports and record information in PEAK.
+ Disassemble machines to perform minor repairs or replace broken or worn parts using hand tools.
+ Order tools and rules, including knives, dies, counter plates, blanking or stripping toolings.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Production and machine operation experience.
+ Manufacturing experience is preferred.
+ Proficiency in operating hand jacks, electric pallet jacks, and forklifts is preferred.
+ Excellent attendance and ability to work independently.
+ Ability to read and write safety rules, manuals, and reports; bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
+ Mathematical skills for adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing, as well as computing ratios and interpreting bar graphs.
+ Problem-solving and reasoning skills to solve practical problems and interpret varied instructions.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Physical ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, reach, twist, and carry up to 28 lbs.
+ Capability to push/pull 50 lbs. for 200 feet and lift 50 lbs. frequently.
+ Comfortable with repetitive movements and the use of both feet and hands.
+ Continuous ability to read, write, hear, see, and speak.
+ Independent decision-making skills and color discernment.
+ Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures and loud noise environments.
+ Familiarity with PPE including safety gloves, hair net, and beard net.

**Work Environment**
This role is in a non-climate controlled facility with approximately 170 employees and 30 temporary staff, operating 24/7. Openings are available across both shifts, with a rotating schedule of 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, and 3 days off. The facility values safety highly and provides necessary protective equipment like steel toe boots, gloves, ear plugs, and safety glasses.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenixville, PA.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
