Title: DG BOSS: Welder (FN) + Repairs structures by dismantling, reshaping, and reassembling metal components using cutting torches and hand tools. + Determines the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements. + Set ups components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements). + Monitors machinery for appropriate usage and temperature. + Welds components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions. + Prepares metal surfaces by cleaning with chemical solutions and wire brushes to remove impurities such as scale, rust, grease, and moisture. + Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary. + Follows and enforces strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes. + Performs other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications + Must be able to read, interpret blueprints and design and follow engineering drawings, specifications, and instructions. + Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, bending, standing, climbing or walking. + Must speak, read, and understand the English Language. + Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health. + Must have a valid Professional Driver’s License with at least Restriction Code 2. Preferred Qualifications JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAINING: + Completed course with the following National Certifications is a plus: + Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) + Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) + Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) + Shielded Arc Welding (SMAW) EDUCATION: + Must have at least High School diploma, Vocational or Technical course Graduate is required. EXPERIENCE: + Must have at least three (5) years’ experience in welding trades.
