Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, collaborative spirit, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.
**Job Title:** DevOps Engineer
**Location:** Foster City, CA
**Pay Range:** $90-100/h + benefits
**What's the Job?**
+ Developing and maintaining tools that support cross-functional teams in their efforts towards developing software that adheres to a High Assurance Process.
+ Collaborating closely with various CI tools and infrastructure to achieve business goals defined by the software systems engineering team.
+ Working with team leads to understand tool requirements, define delivery milestones, and automate all necessary tooling including relevant business metrics reporting.
+ Contributing to code reviews and incident postmortems to ensure long-term stability and reliability of the software system.
+ Supporting enterprise-scale deployment practices and resolving related issues to ensure seamless operations.
**What's Needed?**
+ Strong proficiency in C++ (C++11, C++14, C++17), including memory management, threading, and debugging patterns.
+ Experience primarily developing code in Bazel, Python, ReactJS, and TypeScript, with responsibility for setting up backend infrastructure such as databases and web servers.
+ Ability to create quick scripts to automate tasks like generating metrics and establishing traceability.
+ Research-oriented mindset with a fail-fast philosophy, embracing experimentation and innovation.
+ Deep experience in enterprise-scale deployment practices and related challenges.
