Job Title: QA Engineer - Kubernetes/Container Deployment

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced engineer with a strong background in Kubernetes, containerized application deployment, and testing environments. This role is ideal for someone who is transitioning from a traditional engineering role into quality assurance and testing. The position focuses on white box testing, with an emphasis on inspecting the deployment of pods and containers, and assessing their health and performance.

Responsibilities

Perform white box testing by inspecting pods, containers, and smaller components.Conduct functional testing, including UI inspections and resource utilization analysis.Develop and execute test plans and automation scripts using Selenium, Cucumber, and WebDriverIO.Assess and inspect deployments, ensuring they are up and healthy, and identify any bottlenecks or resource stress points.Leverage AI technologies to enhance the testing environment.Work with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools such as Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 1 year in a pure testing role and at least 3 years in a containerized environment.Proficiency in Kubernetes and Docker, with AWS experience preferred.Strong experience in Python, with knowledge of object-oriented programming.Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, and WebDriverIO.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with AI technologies is a significant advantage.Understanding of DevOps tools like Terraform and containerized applications.Ability to perform performance assessments, identifying bottlenecks and resource stress points.

Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid work environment located in Morrisville, NC, with in-office work required on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Raleigh, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
