Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and manage VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi environments Design, deploy, and administer VMware NSX and SDN solutions, defining virtual networks, security rules, and automation workflows Deploy and manage VCF 9 cluster Integrate and manage container platforms (Kubernetes, Tanzu, Docker) within the VMware ecosystem Monitor performance, capacity, and availability to optimize the virtual environment Automate tasks and deployments using PowerCLI, Ansible, or Terraform Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within virtualized compute, storage, and network layers Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, designs, and operations Collaborate with IT, security, and application teams to design hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure solutions Perform system hardening following DoD STIG standards and maintain compliance artifactsRequired Skills and Experience:
Clearance Required: Top Secret An interim TS is required to start; will consider upgrading candidate from Secret BS or BA degree in a Technical Discipline High school diploma and 6 years’ additional experience within these functional duties; or an associate's degree and 4 additional years may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree. 10+ years of experience managing VMware infrastructure Expertise in SAN/NAS storage administration, especially in virtualized environments Strong scripting skills (PowerCLI, Python, Ansible, or similar) Solid understanding of Windows/Linux server environments and networking (VLANs,firewalls, load balancers) DoD 8570.01M IAT Level III certification (CompTIA Sec+ or equivalent)Application Deadline: 2/17/2026
