What you'll do
We are looking for an experienced Development Manager (f/m/d) who will lead and grow a team of Dev Ops Engineers. Within the Sovereign Cloud Delivery organization, we are responsible for operating a multitude of SAP solutions according to local compliance requirements. The local team in Germany will be executing the day-2-day operations tasks to provide a best-in-class service to our customers, ensure adherence to the SLA’s and continuously optimize the TCO. You will first hire the local German team according to the regulations defined by the German authorities. Afterwards you will be managing the respective team to drive and optimize the business outcome. You will closely cooperate with your counterparts in other countries and the Global Delivery team and support customer facing activities as required.
Inspire and motivate the team Grow the team by finding the best talent Accountability for annual goals established for team or department and you lead by example, share knowledge, and work collaboratively with direct reports Ensure efficiency and effectiveness of all operations processes by applying modern principles of Dev Ops Accountability for key KPIs for the team, e.g. SLA for Availability, TTR, etc. Represent SAP to customers / partners
What you bring
Managerial experience and a sound professional experience with working in collaborative environments that promote a teamwork mentality Strong background in operating at least one SAP solution, preferably in a public cloud fashion is a prerequisite You can identify risks, anticipate challenges, and seek to proactively head-off obstacles with mitigations and contingencies Experience in customer facing activities and understanding of customer specific business processes Experience with escalation handling and escalation handling experience Deep understanding of ITIL processes A high service and customer orientation, and a strong drive for change and quality Interpersonal skills: team player, proactive networking, results and execution focus, motivated to work in an international and intercultural environment Strong analytical, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills Excellent command of English is mandatory, proficiency in German is desirable Commitment maintaing daily office prescence for efficient team collaboration either in the Berlin or St. Leon Rot SAP office
Work Experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operating SAP solutions
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a people manager
