Role Summary

We’re looking for a ServiceNow UI Developer to design and build intuitive, performant, and accessible user interfaces on the ServiceNow platform. You will work closely with product owners, process SMEs, and platform administrators to build delightful experiences using Service Portal, UI Builder (Workspace), Now Experience components, and custom widgets.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development Build and customize Service Portal, UI Builder/Workspaces, and Now Experience components. Develop custom widgets, client scripts, and UI policies to enhance UX. Implement Forms, Catalog Items, and Record Producers with dynamic behaviors. Front-End Engineering Write clean, reusable code using HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, JavaScript/ES6, and Bootstrap (or equivalent frameworks). Ensure responsive, accessible (WCAG 2.1), and cross-browser compatible UI. ServiceNow Platform Use Glide APIs, Client/Server scripts (GlideAjax, GlideRecord), Business Rules, and UI Actions. Configure Flows/Workflows and integrate UI with data and back-end logic. Performance & Quality Optimize page load, reduce API calls, and follow best practices for maintainable UI. Write/maintain unit tests, participate in code reviews; ensure CMDB/ITSM process alignment where relevant. Collaboration Translate UX wireframes and requirements into working UI. Partner with platform admins for ACLs, roles, and security considerations. Support UAT, documentation, and release activities in Dev → Test → Prod pipelines.

Required Skills

Strong proficiency in ServiceNow Service Portal and UI Builder/Workspaces. Hands-on with Now Experience / UI Framework (component-based development). JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, Bootstrap, and responsive design. ServiceNow Client Scripts, UI Policies, GlideAjax, GlideRecord. Building Catalog Items, Record Producers, and Custom Widgets. Understanding of ACLs, roles, and Platform Security. Experience with Git (or ServiceNow Source Control), Update Sets, and ATF (Automated Test Framework) basics. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
