Join a leading company in structural steel joist and deck building systems as a Detailer. This role involves converting customer drawings into simple, detailed plans using AutoCAD 2D and coordinating project delivery. Work with a dynamic team based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, supporting six manufacturing plants across North America.
ResponsibilitiesConvert customer drawings into detailed plans using AutoCAD 2D.Create manufacturing and delivery plans for products.Coordinate internally and with customers to solve problems and ensure timely project delivery.Work on multiple projects at different stages of completion.Utilize a proprietary AutoCAD 2D add-in (training provided).Essential SkillsExperience with AutoCAD drafting in construction, building design, or related industries.Understanding of structural loads and connections.Ability to review decking design drawings and connections.Familiarity with the design approval process and client/fabrication plant collaboration.Additional Skills & QualificationsDirect experience with joists and/or decking design.Experience in leadership or training roles.Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.Flexible mindset and ability to adjust quickly to new tasks.Accountability for metrics, results, and drawing quality.Goal-oriented and deadline-driven approach.Capability to give and receive feedback effectively.Adaptability to company culture and attitude.Work EnvironmentEnjoy a casual work environment with a focus on meeting deadlines. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.25 - $23.25/hr.
