Our client, a public-sector organization dedicated to supporting media and educational initiatives, is seeking a Desktop Support to join their team. As a Desktop Support, you will be part of the Wisconsin Public Media Division supporting internal staff and media workflows. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a strong desire to learn, which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** Desktop Support **Location:** Madison, WI - Onsite **Pay Range:** $19.50 on W2 **What's the Job?** + Provide frontline technical support for desktop and laptop hardware and software. + Assist staff with troubleshooting issues related to Windows, macOS, printers, and file sharing. + Set up new equipment and ensure proper configuration for staff use. + Document solutions and contribute to internal knowledge bases for ongoing support. + Support workflows related to media creation and production processes. **What's Needed?** + 1-3 years of experience in a customer-facing IT support role. + Strong active listening skills and a professional, empathetic approach. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly. + Experience supporting modern hardware (desktops, laptops) and operating systems (Windows 10/11, macOS). + Ability to troubleshoot technical issues logically and escalate when necessary.
