Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join their team. As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be part of the IT department supporting faculty, administrators, and students. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative spirit which will align successfully within the organization.
**Job Title:** Desktop Support Technician
**Location:** New York, NY, 10003
**Pay Range:** $32 - $42 per hour
**Duration** 2 months + extension
**Onsite** - M-F
**What's the Job?**
+ Diagnose complex, non-standard problems and propose solutions while coordinating services and repairs with vendors.
+ Provide first-level technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
+ Set up, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, and peripherals while ensuring optimal performance.
+ Conduct routine maintenance on desktops and peripherals to comply with security standards.
+ Assist in implementing and enforcing security policies on desktop systems.
**What's Needed?**
+ Previous experience in a desktop support or IT help desk role is a plus.
+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Familiarity with Windows and MacOS operating systems.
+ Basic knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
