Job Description

As a Designer at Weekday, you will play a key role in our design team, driving the design and development process for our denim products for all our bands Weekday, Monki and Cheap Monday serving all our customers both women and men.  

You should have a strong design aesthetic with creativity and innovation at the core. You will work closely with product developers, pattern makers, and planners to create strong, relevant collections that align with our brand vision and customer needs 

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

Lead design and product development processes in close collaboration with product developers and the product team.  Create clear and well-developed design concepts.  Build and communicate assortment for our denim ranges.  Take part in trend research and collaborate with the design team to develop a cohesive and forward-thinking collection.  Use digital tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, and work with both hand-drawn and technical sketches.  Manage multiple deadlines and production timelines simultaneously.  Participate in fittings and ensure that products meet the highest quality standards.

You will collaborate with a passionate and creative design team, including product developers, pattern makers, and planners. You’ll be part of a multi-brand environment, designing for Weekday, Monki, and Cheap Monday, and serving a diverse customer base across womenswear and menswear. 

WHO YOU ARE 

We are looking for people with… 

Experience in fashion design, preferably in denim, high fashion and/or youth fashion.  A solid understanding of designing for a young and trend-conscious audience.  Strong knowledge of denim and denim trends.  Skills and knowledge of denim, especially in trousers and jackets is qualified.  Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.  Ability to visualize and communicate ideas through both hand sketches and technical drawings

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

This is a full-time temporary contract for one year based at our Head Office in Stockholm, Södermalm.

In this role, you will have the flexibility to work both remotely and from the office. While remote working is part of our offer, approx. 4 days per week office presence is required to foster strong collaboration and teamwork.
