Responsibilities:Oversee multiple design projects simultaneously, establishing project scope, schedules, and budgets while monitoring progress against established milestonesCoordinate internal design teams and external consultants, ensuring seamless collaboration and information flow throughout project lifecyclesManage design documentation, review deliverables for quality and compliance, and implement corrective actions when projects deviate from planned parametersProvide technical guidance and design direction across various project phases, from schematic design through construction documentationReview and approve design concepts, drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation to ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and client requirementsResolve complex design challenges, make critical design decisions, and ensure design solutions are constructible, cost-effective, and aligned with project objectivesLead, mentor, and develop design team members, fostering professional growth and technical competencyAssign project responsibilities, provide performance feedback, and promote collaborative work environmentsCommunicate effectively with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate coordination and resolve conflictsServe as primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, presenting design concepts and addressing concernsEstablish and maintain quality control processes, ensuring all design work meets organizational standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirementsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field required; Master's degree preferredMinimum 7-10 years of progressive design experienceProficiency in industry-standard design software including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent toolsStrong understanding of building codes, accessibility standards, sustainability principles, and construction methodsExperience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) processes and project management softwareDemonstrated leadership abilities with proven track record of successfully managing complex design projectsExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsStrong problem-solving capabilities and ability to make sound decisions under pressureFinancial acumen including budget management and resource allocation
