We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced **Deputy Manager - Design** to join our dynamic design team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in architectural design, specifically within the fit-out sector, and a proven ability to manage and contribute to design projects from concept to completion. This role requires excellent communication and leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
**Responsibilities:**
+ **Project Management:**
+ Assist the Design Manager in overseeing and managing multiple fit-out projects concurrently, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
+ Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
+ Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and proactively propose solutions.
+ Prepare and review design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and presentations.
+ **Design & Technical Expertise:**
+ Contribute to the development of innovative and aesthetically pleasing design solutions for fit-out projects.
+ Prepare and review architectural drawings, 3D models, and other visual representations of design concepts.
+ Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
+ Possess a strong understanding of materials, finishes, and construction techniques relevant to fit-out projects.
+ **Team Leadership & Collaboration:**
+ Provide guidance and support to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.
+ Participate in design reviews and critiques, offering constructive feedback and guidance.
+ Liaise effectively with internal teams, including sales, procurement, and construction, to ensure project alignment.
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with external consultants and vendors.
+ **Communication & Client Management:**
+ Effectively communicate design concepts and project updates to clients, presenting ideas clearly and persuasively.
+ Manage client expectations and address any concerns or feedback promptly and professionally.
+ Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders.
+ **Other Responsibilities:**
+ Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in design and construction.
+ Contribute to the development and improvement of design standards and processes.
+ Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for new business opportunities.
+ **Education:** Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) degree from a recognized institution.
+ **Experience:** 5-6 years of relevant experience in architectural design, with a strong focus on fit-out projects.
+ **Skills & Abilities:**
+ Proven experience in managing and contributing to fit-out projects of varying scales and complexities.
+ Excellent design skills, including proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and/or other 3D modeling software.
+ Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction methodologies.
+ **Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and contractors.**
+ Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
+ Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
