Job Description

This is a hybrid role involving 50% Solidworks design and 50% project coordination and management. The successful candidate will play a key role in examining production requests, implementing design changes, and coordinating with product design teams. This position requires proficiency in Solidworks and Autocad to alter designs and manage engineering change orders effectively.

Responsibilities

Examine production requests and determine necessary design changes.Use Solidworks and Autocad to implement design changes.Collaborate with product design teams on major design alterations.Contact vendors or switch suppliers to support production inventory needs.Assist in implementing design changes on the production floor and ensure process adherence.Manage engineering change orders within BOM, PDM, and other systems.Oversee the ECN system for timelines and requests.Follow up on field requests as they arise.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in Solidworks and Autocad.Experience in mechanical, agricultural, or aerospace engineering.2+ years of Solidworks experience, including educational experience.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Aerospace Engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with heavy equipment and hydraulics.2+ months of off-highway experience.

Work Environment

The position requires daily onsite presence in Pella, working alongside a team of 10 engineers, including three contract engineers. The role involves collaborating with production teams and occasionally visiting different plants for meetings. The office setting is cubicle-style, and the company embraces a 'dress for your day' policy, allowing jeans and polo shirts, with steel-toed boots required. Work hours are Monday through Friday, starting between 6:30 AM and 7:00 AM. This is a Contract position based out of Pella, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $31.25/hr.
