Design Engineer
Design Engineer Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Design Engineer where you will play a crucial role in designing projects for electrical circuitry, hydraulics, and hose components of heavy equipment using Solidworks. You will work closely with project design teams, assist in building prototypes, and collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality and process improvements. Responsibilities + Design electrical circuitry, hydraulics, and hose components for heavy equipment using Solidworks. + Collaborate with project design teams on part selection and design changes. + Act as the technical expert within the team. + Assist in building prototypes of new designs before they go into production. + Redesign parts throughout production and assembly as needed. + Work with suppliers on process or quality changes. + Collaborate with engineering teams to maintain project deadlines. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Solidworks with at least 2 years of experience, including schooling. + Experience in hose, harness, hose fittings, electrical design, and hydraulic systems. + Understanding of circuit design and schematics. + 6+ months of hydraulics experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering. + Willingness to learn and transition into electrical engineering. + Exposure to diverse product lines and a high opportunity to transition into a direct role within the organization. Work Environment You will be working in a team of 9 within a cubicle environment but will need to visit the production floor as required. The dress code is business casual, allowing jeans, with steel-toed shoes being mandatory. Work hours are Monday to Friday, starting between 6:00 AM and 6:30 AM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pella, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $31.25/hr.
