We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed product design drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, developing Bills of Materials, and managing multiple projects within the power boiler industry. This role demands a strong grasp of mechanical design, particularly in sheet metal and manufacturing processes such as piping and tubes.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop product design drawings in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.Create Bills of Materials in Excel for ordering necessary job materials.Review drawings, contracts, and proposals.Run full-size templates from AutoCAD files to check bend configurations on the shop floor.Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.Essential SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD 2D and SolidWorks.Strong project management skills, with experience in running 5-10 projects simultaneously.Experience in the manufacturing sector, specifically with piping and tubes.Additional Skills & QualificationsTechnical Drafting Degree or equivalent experience preferred.10 years of experience in the power industry preferred.Experience with milling machines, sheet metal, and laser cutting.Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing shop with approximately 10% travel to client sites for measurements. The role offers stability in a company within the power boiler industry.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Lyman, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
