Design Engineer
Job Title: Design EngineerJob Description As a Design Engineer, you will be intimately involved in product design, prototyping, product enhancement, and product testing. You will play a crucial role in transforming innovative ideas into tangible products, enhancing existing designs, and ensuring the highest quality for customers. Responsibilities + Build new and update existing product specifications. + Design and build prototypes. + Cost the bill of materials for new and improved products. + Review and enhance the current product lineup. + Listen to, document, and incorporate product ideas from the field. + Assist sales with engineering requests and inquiries. + Design custom drawings and layouts as needed. + Assist in maintaining and enhancing machinery. + Determine means of manufacturing new products. Essential Skills + Mechanical engineering + Mechanical design + Proficiency in SolidWorks + Experience in new product development + Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) + 3 years of CAD software experience (SolidWorks preferred) Additional Skills & Qualifications + Excellent communication skills + Extremely high attention to detail + Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel + Experience with hands-on problem solving + Ability to lift 75 lbs., or the capability to devise a workaround + Ability to adapt quickly + Sense of humor Work Environment The work environment fosters a focus on innovation and quality, with an emphasis on maintaining clear communication and attention to detail. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
