We are seeking a talented Machine Design Engineer to join our team, specializing in the design and manufacturing of industrial automated equipment. This role offers the opportunity to engage in innovative projects and develop expertise in machine design.
ResponsibilitiesUtilize Solidworks to create 3D models and renderings for automated equipment or processes.Develop safe and cost-effective machine designs, parts models, and assemblies based on customer requirements.Detail parts and assembly drawings, ensuring tolerance accuracy and releasing them for manufacturing.Research and procure necessary components for machine design, including pneumatic cylinders, valves, air prep systems, bearings, motors, drive systems, and sensors.Prepare and maintain bill of material documentation.Generate fabrication drawings for manufacturing.Essential SkillsProficiency in Solidworks, machine design, and 3D modeling.A minimum of 2 years of experience in machine design.Solidworks design experience is strongly preferred.Hands-on experience with tooling, machining, or fabrication.Experience in designing automated equipment is strongly preferred.An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Design.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with industrial automation.Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.Project management skills.Experience in jig, fixture, and tooling design.Work EnvironmentThe position is based in an office environment with occasional interactions on the shop floor. You will be part of a small, tight-knit team, working on diverse and exciting projects, which will allow you to enhance your design skills and become a subject matter expert.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lewis Center, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
