Job Description

This position involves manual labor, requiring consistent lifting of boxes or bags weighing between 35 lbs to 50 lbs. The role is vital in ensuring proper weight specifications are met and involves working with both boxes and bags, depending on the production line. Employees will be responsible for packaging, palletizing, and quality control tasks within a chocolate production environment.

ResponsibilitiesWork on different production lines, handling bags or boxes.Ensure boxes/bags meet required weight specifications.Operate taping and automatic sowing machines with care.Assemble pallets with products.Fill out necessary production sheets, including metal detection and scale sheets.Assist Quality Control and Quality Assurance by collecting samples.Participate in the sanitation process.Essential SkillsAbility to lift 35-50 lbs consistently.Proficiency in reading and writing for accurate production sheet completion.Capability to work independently and collaboratively.Experience in machine operation and general labor tasks.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with electric pallet jacks.Familiarity with QA/QC processes.Ability to work in a production environment with varied temperatures.Must be at least 5'5\" to operate specific machinery.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The production facility is clean, well-organized, and primarily smells of chocolate and sweets. It features different rooms with varying temperatures: the Depo Room is comfortable, the Panning Room is slightly colder than room temperature, and the Refining Room can be warm, especially during summer. The facility includes a pleasant break room and designated areas for relaxation both inside and outside.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Union City, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
