Job Description We are seeking an experienced deployment automation engineer with significant experience in security, Linux, cloud technology, and containerized workflows to join our Automation and Test Tooling team for our telecom customer. This person will architect, develop, and implement platforms and functionality to automate deployment, patching, and security pipelines. They will also document, present and train our production partners, so strong communication skills are required. This resource will lead the project for deployment of Ansible AWX patching and deployment system and develop procedures and automation for various security and deployment tasks. They will also work with the infrastructure team to create a similar automation suite for containerized workflows hosted in Azure hybrid cloud. Toward this end, this resource will create and modify Ansible scripts, Github actions, and other CI/CD pipelines to deploy team applications, patch said applications and secure the tooling environments. They will document procedures/ software solutions and mentor team members and production users on how to use and customize these procedures and solutions. Skills and Requirements • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Telecommunications, or related field. • 5+ Experience in K8s, Azure, Azure Dev Ops, CI/CD, Ansible, GitHub • 5+ years scripting (Python, Bash) including some database querying • Good working knowledge of Linux, IP Networks and Wireshark • Working knowledge of REST, JSON, YAML files etc. • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and software development lifecycle. • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. • Technical acumen: Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts related to mobile core networks and automation frameworks. • Experience with backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally).
