**Job Title: Department Manager ($60,000-$90,000)**
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Department Manager for the 2nd shift to join our Production Management team. The ideal candidate will possess strong supervisory skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to improve processes. A proven performance record in a production environment is essential.
Responsibilities
+ Promote a safe work environment and monitor employee practices and equipment for safety concerns.
+ Supervise and coordinate activities of the production team.
+ Monitor daily and weekly production schedules and goals.
+ Organize and assign work duties to employees.
+ Evaluate employee performance and maintain accurate employee records.
+ Inspect quality of products at each workstation.
+ Ensure machines and equipment are functioning properly.
+ Promote 5S and Lean methodologies to the fullest extent.
+ Practice good housekeeping in all areas.
Essential Skills
+ High School diploma or equivalent required.
+ Previous lead or management experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
+ Knowledge of Lean and MDI methodology.
+ Ability to interpret and present MDI and department metrics and goals.
+ Good communication skills for working with all levels of management.
+ Servant leadership mindset.
+ Commitment to good attendance and adherence to the company's Code of Conduct and Attendance Policy.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
+ Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
+ Specific vision abilities including color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
+ Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment with hot and cold temperatures.

Work Environment
This is a 1st or 2nd shift position, working Monday through Friday 5:30am to 3:30pm OR Monday through Thursday from 1:00 pm to 12:30 am in a non-climate-controlled environment. Employees should expect to work in conditions that include elevated hot and cold temperatures.
