Arts & Science is seeking a dedicated Department Administrator to join the Department of Psychology. This individual will provide administrative support to the department; supervise department staff, administer budgets, including grant accounts; prepare annual and interim reports, analyze trends, and projections; resolve problems; assist with graduate student recruitment. Develop and implement office policies and procedures. Serve as liaison with Procurement, the Contracts Office, and Risk Management to facilitate the negotiation of independent contracts and vendor agreements. Implement and advise faculty and research personnel on policies.
QualificationsRequired Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience:
2+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience with overseeing office and program activities, administering budgets and supervising staff.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $80,000.00.
