May also involve the supervision of administrative support staff. Functions Prosecutes Circuit Court cases for the Judicial District. Supervises other Deputy Prosecuting Attorneys by assigning or reviewing work, reviewing legal documents, and assisting in charging decisions. Reviews and meets with law enforcement often regarding investigations and interviews of witnesses in their Judicial District. Drafts briefs, motions, and other supporting legal documents on criminal cases within the Judicial District. Represents the State of Arkansas in legal proceedings within the Judicial District. Performs other duties as assigned. Dimensions Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of state and federal laws and statutes. Knowledge of legal research and writing protocols. Ability to research, analyze, interpret, and apply case law, state and federal statutes, legal precedents, and relevant legislative intent to agency legal matters. Minimum Qualifications The formal education equivalent of a law degree from and accredited law school. Licenses Licensed to practice law and admitted to the Arkansas State Bar.
