This role provides direct patient care, oral health education, and preventive dental services in community-based settings using portable dental equipment. The ideal candidate is passionate about public health, patient education, and delivering quality dental care to diverse populations.Responsibilities:Provide dental hygiene services in community settings using portable dental equipment in collaboration with the community dental teamPerform dental cleanings, remove plaque and tartar, and take dental X-raysAssess patients’ oral health and educate patients on proper oral hygiene practicesApply preventive treatments including fluoride and sealantsCollaborate with dentists to ensure comprehensive patient careMaintain accurate patient records and adhere to infection control and safety protocolsQualifications and Requirements:High School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in a dental clinic setting requiredActive Texas Dental Hygienist license requiredBLS certification requiredBenefits and Perks:Competitive pay rate of $41 per hourMedical, dental, and vision insurance optionsTraining and professional growth opportunitiesYour New Organization:You will support Harris County Public Health Services, an organization dedicated to improving community health through accessible, high-quality care.
