Demand & Supply Lead - H&M Franchise

Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL DO  

The Merchandising function is to meet and create customer & consumer demand through product offer optimization and activation. H&M is operating with Franchise partners in different countries. This is a growing part of our business, currently expending to new markets and new partners.   

In this 12 months temporary role, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing the balance between customer demand and inventory supply for a new franchise partner. You will be responsible for ensuring product availability, minimizing excess inventory, and contributing to the overall success of the organization and the partners. You will drive efficient franchise market demand fulfilment, spurring sales growth. You will work cross functionally mainly but not limited to the stakeholders within the franchise merch-team. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Responsible for all functionality bringing plans from the partners to Planning Market level + % market buying 

Follow up and optimize buying plans together with franchise Merchandisers 

Follow up accuracy of selling plan & stock plan  

Run analyzes to identify planning opportunities together with franchise Merchandisers 

Forecast of reduction costs with franchise partners and ensure actions are followed 

Follow up of selling & stock forecast to proactively identify needed actions 

Constant exploration and implementation of how to improve the field of buying and stock management in franchise markets.  

Roll out way of working of new initiatives in franchise markets in collaboration with global support team 

 

WHO YOU ARE 

We are looking for people with: 

University degree, preferably in Business, Economics/Finance or similar  

Experience with merchandising, stock management, buying or planning is highly meritorious - preferably experience from both retail and digital 

Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn your analysis into actions  

Business and commercial mindset  

Strong communication skills  

Fluent in English, both written and verbally  

And people who are: 

Self-motivated and take ownership to learn and to seek opportunities to improve ways of working.   

Demonstrate curiosity, initiative, and a passion for continuously refining planning and quantification methods.   

Have a strong business sense by prioritizing time and effort based on potential business impact, focusing on actions that deliver the greatest value and will make the biggest difference.   

Communicating with impact and seeing patterns in our data.  

Engaging team player and self-motivated to drive goals and thrive in an entrepreneurial setting.
