Demand Planning Manager China region

The China Demand Planning Manager is part of the SIOP team within Sensata’s Operations organization and is an individual who has proven Supply Chain/Operations Management background to lead the Demand Planning process for the China Vehicle Business Unit.
The role is responsible to deploy and lead the China region demand planning process which provides a strong linkage between Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Operations and Finance to achieve a high level of forecast accuracy and an optimal consensus forecast to better guide the Company.
The China Demand Planning Manager provides high-level analysis that highlights trends, drivers and issues, and makes recommended adjustments to the forecast based on changes in demand, market trends and 3rd party insights.
The person is an individual who is passionate about operational excellence and performance, driven to improve efficiency and accuracy in repeatable processes, skilled at building quality relationships through performance and compliance, and comfortable working within a diverse organization with multiple locations globally.
# Key Accountabilities:
+ Manage and provide guidance to several Demand Planners in the China Demand Planning team as per assigned regional/ market segment / product allocation for the China region
+ The Demand Planning Manager who will be responsible for the China region has decision-making responsibility related but not limited to:
+ Recruitment and performance management
+ Motivating and influencing the team
+ Assessment of development needs, skill gap assessment, execution of development plans and succession planning
+ Coaching and development of team to ensure operational excellence and performance to KPIs
+ Workload review and allocation assessment, resource distribution overview and scheduling
+ Defining productivity improvement activities
+ Provide leadership to the China Demand Planning team by communicating and providing guidance towards achieving functional objectives and organizational KPIs
+ Analyze results through the use of KPI’s/Scorecards dashboards and drive improvements to address performance gaps as appropriate
+ Oversees and guides the monthly China Demand Review process to create an eighteen (18) month unconstrained SKU level forecast in collaboration with the business unit Sales and Operations Planning process.

+ Oversees the monthly China Demand Review meetings, ensuring inputs and outputs are clearly articulated and drives performance to targets, mitigating any risks and resolving issues throughout.
+ Demonstrate effective leadership qualities at all levels and with multiple stakeholders in the China region to create an energy and enthusiasm in the SIOP process
+ **Process and Data Orientation**
+ Consistently challenging the team to improve the business through effective processes and metrics
+ Clearly understands high volume of data and is able to interpret and present to support business scenarios and decision-making
+ Demonstrates insight into opportunities to simplify and integrate process steps to maximum effect using appropriate problem-solving tools and techniques
# Job Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics/Statistics, or Supply Chain/Operations Management
+ 2+ years postgraduate experience with relevance to SIOP functions
+ 2+ years of management experience with multiple team members
+ Proficient with Microsoft suites and data analysis tools (Tableau, Power BI etc.)
+ An analytical mind with attention to detail and an ability to interpret data for robust decision-making
+ Previous experience working with all levels in a complex matrixed environment
+ Experience of developing internal customer relationships and building collaborative processes
+ Excellent communicator and influencer at all levels of an organization
+ Passion to succeed and challenge the status quo where value adding
+ Postgraduate qualification such as MBA is preferred
+ Advanced Demand Planning System experience preferred (Demantra, APO, Logility)
+ Supply chain certifications and six sigma experience is a plus
