**Delivery Helper – Propane Company (Residential Homes)** **Position Title:** Delivery Helper – Propane Gas **Employment Type:** Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm $20 an hour **Industry:** Energy / Residential Propane Delivery **Location:** _Middletown, NY_ **Position Summary** The Delivery Helper supports the Propane Delivery Driver in safely and efficiently delivering propane gas cylinders or bulk propane to residential customers. This role involves physical labor, excellent customer service, and strict adherence to safety protocols. The Delivery Helper ensures that each delivery is completed accurately, safely, and with a positive customer experience. **Key Responsibilities** **Delivery & Operations** + Assist the Delivery Driver with residential propane deliveries, including loading, unloading, and transporting propane cylinders or connecting to residential tanks. + Handle propane cylinders using proper lifting techniques and safety equipment. + Support the driver in navigating routes, reading delivery schedules, and confirming customer orders. + Help secure cylinders and equipment to ensure safety during transport. + Follow proper procedures for connecting, disconnecting, and inspecting propane tanks (when applicable and under supervision) **Teamwork & Communication** + Work closely with the Delivery Driver to complete daily delivery routes on time. + Communicate any delivery challenges, safety concerns, or customer notes to the driver or supervisor. + Participate in daily check-ins and route planning as needed. **Qualifications** **Required** + Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. + Strong attention to safety and ability to follow detailed instructions. + Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented. + Basic communication and customer service skills. **Preferred** + Experience in delivery, warehouse, construction, or similar physical labor roles. + Familiarity with propane, gas cylinders, or hazardous materials handling. **Work Environment** + Outdoor residential settings + Regular exposure to weather conditions + Fast-paced delivery schedules **Physical Requirements** + Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, and climbing in/out of trucks + Ability to be on feet for long period.
