Job Description
The role of a Deburrer involves performing deburring and finishing operations on metal parts post-machining. This essential finishing process is used in manufacturing to eliminate small imperfections, known as burrs, which can affect the safety, functionality, and assembly fit of the parts. The position requires the use of hand tools, pneumatic grinders, and small power tools to smooth surfaces and ensure parts meet specifications.
Responsibilities
+ Perform deburring and finishing operations on metal parts after machining.
+ Use hand tools, pneumatic grinders, and small power tools to smooth surfaces.
+ Inspect parts visually to verify compliance with specifications.
+ Follow blueprints and work instructions to ensure accuracy.
+ Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to company safety policies.
+ Communicate with machinists and quality inspectors to resolve issues promptly.
Essential Skills
+ Strong attention to detail.
+ Proficiency in deburring, polishing, grinding, and metal finishing.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Experience with measuring tools and inspection processes.
+ Familiarity with manufacturing inspection and quality control.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Attention to detail and ability to work with small precision components.
+ Familiarity with blueprint reading and basic measurement tools preferred.
+ Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
+ Previous experience in manufacturing or metal finishing is a plus, but entry-level candidates may be considered.
+ Strong reliability and attendance are emphasized as key success factors.

Work Environment
The position operates on a 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm, working 40 hours per week. Candidates should be open to working overtime as needed. The facility is a 130,000 Sq. Ft. manufacturing space located on 10 acres in Union, Illinois, approximately 50 miles west of Chicago. Our environment includes over 90 pieces of manufacturing equipment, including Matsuura and Makino machining centers, and we employ approximately 140 individuals across three shifts, running 24/7. We are a registered and certified Department of Defense contractor, compliant with ITAR, and authorized as a supplier by the US Federal Government.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of UNION, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
