Job Title: Deburr TechnicianJob Description

The Deburr Technician is responsible for finishing precision aerospace parts by safely removing burrs, creating edge breaks, and blending surfaces to meet blueprint and customer specifications. This role involves using hand tools and small power tools, reading basic drawings, and verifying quality with common measuring equipment to ensure parts meet stringent aerospace requirements.

ResponsibilitiesReview work instructions, routers, tooling, and planning to confirm the correct process and quality requirements before starting each job.Perform manual deburring, edge breaking, and surface blending using files, deburr knives, scrapers, countersinks, rotary tools, belt sanders, and other small power tools.Read and interpret basic blueprints to verify configuration and finish callouts, following specifications typical of aerospace manufacturing.Inspect and verify part features and dimensions using gauges, scales, calipers, and micrometers.Complete job order paperwork accurately and on time, including part counts, tie-ins, and travelers.Perform related finishing tasks such as flat-pattern deburring, tab trimming, and checking/straightening as needed.Essential SkillsPrevious deburr, grinding, or sanding experience.Experience using hand and power tools.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Proficient in using gauges, scales, calipers, micrometers, and other basic measuring equipment.Capable of performing laborious work and heavy lifting.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in an industrial manufacturing environment, particularly in aerospace parts production.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is an industrial manufacturing setting where large airplane parts are made. The facility consists of three different buildings, each equipped with large and loud machinery. It is an open-air facility, meaning the temperature can vary with the weather. The role requires working on the first shift from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vista, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
