Job Description
The DDC Controls Technician will be responsible for installing, programming, and troubleshooting DDC control systems in commercial buildings, specifically schools. The ideal candidate must have 5 years of experience in leading and managing the design, installation, and commissioning of DDC control systems, ensuring adherence to project specifications, codes, and standards. Responsibilities include developing control strategies, including logic programming, reading control system drawings, programming and configuring DDC controllers, and conducting detailed system inspections. A thorough understanding of HVAC systems, including air handlers, chillers, boilers, and VAV systems, is essential.
ResponsibilitiesInstall, program, and troubleshoot DDC control systems in commercial buildings.Lead and manage DDC control systems design, installation, and commissioning.Ensure adherence to project specifications, codes, and standards.Develop control strategies, including logic programming.Read control system drawings accurately.Program and configure DDC controllers.Conduct detailed system inspections.Understand HVAC systems, including air handlers, chillers, boilers, and VAV systems.Essential Skills5 years of experience with DDC control systems.Expertise in HVAC systems, including air handlers, chillers, boilers, and VAV systems.Proficiency in reading control system drawings.Experience with programming and configuring DDC controllers.Familiarity with Direct Digital Controls, BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with low voltage wiring.Skills in brazing and soldering.Knowledge of Building Automation Systems.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The position requires working Monday to Friday on the first shift, primarily in schools. The work environment may include mechanical rooms, which can be hot. Personal protective equipment, including steel toe boots and a high visibility vest, is required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bradenton, Florida.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
