Job Summary Prep Academy Tutors is currently seeking a daytime tutor Monday to Friday 9:00-2:30pm. To be considered applicants must have a Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Check and Adult Abuse Check with in the last six months. + Provide academic support to students based on expertise and knowledge based on the Manitoba curriculum. + Provide remedial and enrichment support for students. Qualifications and Skills We are looking for educators who can meet the following criteria: - Energetic and enthusiastic teachers with experience in tutoring or teaching - Comfortable tutoring at-risk youth in a correctional facility - Strong communication skills Benefits and Perks - Competitive rates - Flexible hours - Professional development opportunities - Supportive work environment A qualified applicant will meet at least one of the following criteria: - You hold a registration in good standing with the Manitoba Teacher's Society - You are qualified to teach in a Canadian Province/Territory outside of Manitoba - You are qualified to teach in the United States - You are a current teacher candidate pursuing a Bachelor of Education - You have experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited Canadian University or College - You have more than 1 year of experience working with at risk youth - You have more than 1 year of tutoring experience
