**Job Title: Machinist** **Job Description** Join a dynamic manufacturing company specializing in Aerospace Defense and Commercial sectors, producing high-quality plastic and metal parts. We are seeking skilled Machinists to set up and operate screw machines to produce parts according to blueprint specifications. **Responsibilities** + Set up and operate screw machines to produce parts to blueprint specifications. + Position and secure specified cams, gears, and stops to control stock and tool movements at each station. + Position and secure tools in tool holders, and set cutting speeds and feed rates. + Adjust tool positions and machine controls to accommodate operating factors such as timing, clearance between moving parts, and chip removal. + Perform general routine maintenance to ensure machine performance. + Monitor machine operations and inspect parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. + Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to maintain production efficiency and part quality. + Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work area. + Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders. + Maintain accurate production and quality records. + Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to ensure compliance with specifications. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 3+ years’ experience setting up and maintaining two machines. + Experience with davenport machines. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. + Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Open to candidates fresh out of trade school with davenport machine experience. **Why Work Here?** This is a direct placement position offering comprehensive benefits after 60 days, including medical, dental, vision, and 401K.
